A Learning Community

We offer a sense of belonging and community that is not ordinarily found in larger schools with the students and guides interacting with each other on a daily basis.

This happy and friendly environment fosters our primary aim for the children to acquire a love of learning which they will need for the whole of their lives.

Through the Montessori pedagogy where the emphasis is on hands-on, real life learning and experiences, the children enjoy a greater level of autonomy, self-responsibility and ownership for their learning than they would in an ordinary school.

It is from this that deep academic knowledge and understanding is achieved in a way that is not artificially imposed merely through the memorisation of facts and figures solely to obtain a paper qualification.

Education should not only be about academics but also to include those personal, emotional and social skills and that of critical thinking/problem solving, collaboration, creativeness, adaptability and resilience that are essential to ensure happiness and success in the 21st century.
